Living with a drinking Alcoholic is most likely at best a trying experience. Maybe you have confronted your spouse or son or daughter about their drinking? Maybe you have not? Either way it is extremely difficult, if not almost impossible. Carol here. My daughter does not live with me. In the past, she has, but is staying not too far from where I am. I believe in the power of God to change lives, but we first must admit we have a problem. I speak from personal experience, as I used to abuse narcotics for over 30 yrs. I have been drug free for 6 yrs. now. I am here to help anyone I CAN, while I struggle to help my own child. -
As a recovering Alcoholic I just want to add that many people had to confront me about my drinking before I ever got help. I also had to hit my personal bottom. It was so long ago I can't tell you what it was, there were so many, but finally when my life was a train-wreck, I went to an AA meeting with a friend who would become my sponsor and that was the start for me of life as a sober person.
